Discard the ego…

You may feel like you’re invincible and ready to take on and conquer anything that comes your way because the world is your oyster, until some well-meaning person comes along and tells you that what you’re doing is a bad idea and that it will never work. In an instant your balloon is completely deflated and you give up on the idea, never to witness its progress on the road to success. The deflated balloon is your ego and it can be crushed by others quickly and with little effort. So discard the ego that reeks of “me, me, me,” and ask God how you can serve others. Get the focus off you and on to the greater good. You will be taken care of because you are an “other” as well. God is waiting for us to serve. Now that we know this, the decision is clear. – Jon Kennedy
