Remain happy and upbeat…

When life sends sorrowful or difficult events your way that make you feel sad, overwhelmed, confused or lost, you can absolutely remain happy and upbeat. Bad feelings are a typical response, but it’s you who will decide how to feel about things. Products of the eras we are raised in…

The kids of today who sit in the same room texting each other and don’t have conversations face to face is changing the dynamics of conversation between all of us as we know it. We are products of the eras that we’re raised in. The difference here is that texting rather than conversing is making us more tech-social and anti-social all at once. The art of face to face conversation may one day become a lost art, as hard to believe as that is to those of us who were raised without cell phones and texting. However, had we (more senior folks) been raised with cell phones and texting capabilities, we most certainly would be in the same shoes as today’s generation of kids. The kids are no more at fault for their lifestyle than we are for ours. – Jon Kennedy

Here’s to good leadership…

It only takes one individual to affect many of us in either a positive or negative manner. What they believe to be positive for us may actually be detrimental. Fortunately, this isn’t very often the case. Here’s to good leadership for all of us. – Jon Kennedy

Until you can go no longer…

To not put everything into this life when you have all of the potential that you’ve been blessed with is just flat out too bad. Do nice things for others as often as possible while you’re able. A purpose in this majestic Universe…

Control is nothing any of us have in our lives. If we believe that we do, it’s really just an illusion. Can you remember asking to be born? So here we are - components of God’s work in the grand scheme of the Universe. We have a purpose or we wouldn’t exist. It’s possible to remain in a blissful state…

See if you can be happy, calm, and have complete peace of mind when the next really bad situation erupts in your life. If you can do this, then you can do just about anything, because almost no one even tries or is aware that it’s possible to remain in a blissful state, even when everything around them seems to be falling apart. The truth is, in a situation like this you are the only entity that can keep it together during the chaos, because you know you can. – Jon Kennedy

It is entirely up to you…

No matter how permanent things may seem in your life right now, they’re not. Remember how things used to be for you? Imagine how things could be for you. Anything that you call “status-quo” is nothing more than a temporary situation, whether good or bad. Expect life to spike with its ups and downs; it does for every single one of us. Be as happy as a possible during the “up” spikes. Understand that you can be happy during the “down” spikes as well, if you so choose. It is entirely up to you how you view what seems to be going on in your world at all times. Whatever direction you choose is all on you. Smile! – Jon Kennedy

On the way to point B…

Getting from point A to point B in whatever it is that you’re doing in life is either easy or complicated, because you imagine getting there with either a loving or fearful outlook. If you have a loving outlook for something that means everything to you, the road to point B is clear and easy to navigate. If you have a fearful outlook and feelings of lack, you set yourself up for every roadblock you can think of on the way to point B, making the journey hazardous, difficult, and perhaps unattainable. Save yourself a lot of agony and have a loving outlook on the road to point B. – Jon Kennedy

This is God’s gift…

Whether you live for one minute or 100 years, you have only this moment to live in. This is God’s gift to you to be cherished! – Jon Kennedy

A God-serving lifestyle…

It’s your ego that concerns you with what others say about you, your house, your car, your education, your lifestyle, your job, your personality, and anything else you can think of that worries or concerns you. Just release all of the worries and concerns derived from the ego and place everything in God’s hands. Ask God how you can serve the Universe, and observe as your life transforms from an ego-driven lifestyle to a God-serving lifestyle. What a life! God bless you! – Jon Kennedy

Common sense…

Common sense is the glue that keeps our civilization from falling to pieces. With it, our infrastructure remains intact and running smoothly. Without it, count on life being rife with despair and little to look forward to as the infrastructure collapses. Consider it nothing less than a miracle that it remains intact with so many people in the mix and so few major incidents that have occurred through it all. We can all be grateful for this. Let it be your reason…

We experience the passing of loved ones throughout our lifetime, and we are a part of that equation, as we will one day pass on as well. Thank God that we don’t know when that moment will arrive. From time to time life can become and feel rough, tough, unpleasant and downright impossible to handle. No matter how bad it may seem, you’re allowed to be happy when you give yourself permission. Living in the moment and not in the past or future, which cannot be dealt with anyway, will help a lot. This adventure that we call life…

Life here on earth is such a temporary thing for any of us. When you’re young, you know this to be true but you pay no attention anyway; there seems to be so much time ahead that you feel like you’ll be here forever. But before you know it, you realize that life is short and it plays out in no time at all. This adventure that we call life shouldn’t be taken so seriously that it becomes a sad, total bore. Since life comes and goes so quickly, make it a worthwhile journey, packed with as much fun as possible.
